Transom Boat Works was recently highlighted in an article entitled A Racing Heritage in Sailing Magazine's March 2008 issue for its restoration of  a Bluenose Sloop.  The restoration project will be complete, and the sloop will be on display at the Mahone Bay Classic Boat Festival this year.  In the meantime,

you can read all about the heritage of the Bluenose and the fleet's prominence at Chester Race Week by clicking on the Sailing Magazine cover. Transom's next restoration, currently in progress, is a Roué 20, another design of William Roué, also the designer

of the schooner Bluenose.

Transom Boat Works was featured in the July/August 2007 issue

of Classic Yacht Magazine.  The article The Joy of Small Boats highlights the shop's Handy Billy, designed by Harry Bryan using lines from the popular designs of William Hand in the early 1900s.  This is an example that a classic yacht does not have to be huge in order to porvide the highest "fun per pound" available on the water.  Click on the Classic Yacht cover to read about our Handy Billy.
